Every August 8, ASEAN Member States celebrate ASEAN Day, commemorating the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 1967 through the signing of the ASEAN Declaration, also known as the Bangkok Declaration.

More than marking a historic milestone, ASEAN Day celebrates the region’s enduring commitment to peace, stability, cooperation, and shared prosperity. It reminds us that by working together, ASEAN Member States can build a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future for the region.

As we celebrate ASEAN Month, CHED Regional Office I reaffirms its commitment to advancing regional cooperation and internationalization through Project LINK for ASEAN 2026: Leveraging International Networks and Knowledge.
