𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗥𝗢𝟭 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗢𝗜𝗟

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office I (CHED RO1) gathered over 60 participants from more than 20 higher education institutions (HEIs) across Region I for the learning session “Beyond Borders: Building Global Classrooms Through Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).”

The session featured Dr. Mark Joseph Pastor of Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) and Dr. Sonny Soriano of Urdaneta City University (UCU) as resource speakers, who shared their experiences and insights on implementing COIL and creating meaningful global learning opportunities through virtual collaboration.

The activity forms part of CHED ROI’s PROJECT LINK FOR ASEAN 2026: Leveraging International Networks and Knowledge, which seeks to strengthen international linkages and expand opportunities for global engagement among Region I HEIs.

The initiative also supports the CHED A.C.H.I.E.V.E. Agenda 2030, particularly its commitment to inclusive and impact-driven internationalization—bringing international learning opportunities closer to more students and faculty without the need for physical mobility.
