𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗥𝗢𝟭 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗨’𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 1 (CHED RO1) participated in the initial coordination meeting for the 2026 Search for Outstanding Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel of the Province of La Union held on August 11, 2026 at the Executive Room 1, Provincial Capitol Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The activity aimed to finalize the search’s mechanics, clarify roles, and identify documentary requirements.

It also aligned partner agencies and stakeholders on the implementation of the program, including the nomination process, submission guidelines, and the evaluation framework for qualified nominees from participating institutions in La Union.

Ms. Joy Ann L. Gurtiza, Education Supervisor II, represented Dr. Cherrie Melanie Ancheta-Diego, CESO III, Director IV of CHED RO1, who is a member of the Selection Committee. During the meeting, Ms. Gurtiza was appointed as one of the members of the evaluation team for the non-teaching staff category.

The meeting was presided over by Board Member Jeferson B. Fernando, Vice Chairperson of the Selection Committee, with a key agenda item focusing on the revision of the guidelines for the non-teaching category.

This included refining the category structure, updating eligibility and submission requirements, and revising evaluation indicators tailored to non-teaching roles.
