𝐑𝟏 𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐬, 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐎𝟏 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞
Members of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office I (CHED RO1) and 15 higher educational institutions (HEIs) participated in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) High-Level Policy Dialogue on Access to Quality Higher Education: Digital Transformation and Sustainability on June 25 via the online conferencing platform Webex as the Philippines host the regional bloc this year.
Delegates were joined by several high-ranking educational experts across the region to discuss the role of digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development in expanding equitable access to quality higher education across ASEAN.
The dialogue also highlighted emerging regional strategies to strengthen digital learning ecosystems, improve institutional resilience, and foster cross-border collaboration among universities as ASEAN member states respond to evolving educational and workforce demands.
CHED RO1 Director Dr. Cherrie Melanie Ancheta-Diego, Education Supervisor II Dr. Al Gerald S. Barde, and Project Technical Staff III Chloe Mari A. Hufana joined the following 15 HEIs in the event.
