Dr. Cherrie Melanie Ancheta-Diego, CESO III, CHED RO1 Director IV, joined the conferment ceremony for Ilocos Sur Gov. Jeremias โ€œJerryโ€ C. Singson at the Chavit Coliseum in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on 7 August 2026.

First City Providential College (FCPC) conferred the Doctor of Humanities, Honoris Causa, to Gov. Singson in recognition of his exemplary leadership and 50 years of dedicated public service, particularly his contributions to education, community development, and the welfare of the Ilocano people.

Dr. Ancheta-Diego presented Gov. Singson’s academic medallion during the said event.

After the ceremony, Gov. Singson delivered his State of the Heritage Province Address (SOHPA) wherein he highlighted building a stronger, more inclusive, and future-ready Ilocos Sur.

Joining Dr. Ancheta-Diego in both occasions were Dr. Angelica Q. Dolores, Supervising Education Program Specialist, and Dr. Ricky A. Cera, Supervising Administrative Officer.
